DAY 1 BASE STARS OF TOMORROW

What a great day to start our tournament! A clear blue sky, 30 degrees and a warm welcome for all players at BASE Academy in Germany! After the opening ceremony we had 66 matches to play. The match of today is the match between Georgio Bidan/Lebanon (youngest player of the tournament!) against Preston Taylor/England (category boys 2006). The match was a thriller that took more than 3 hours! Georgio won the first set with 6-3 and lost the second set (after 5 matchpoints!!) with 6-7. In the third set it was 4-1 for Preston. However Georgio fought back to 4-5 (40-0). Finally, after more than 3 hours Preston won the third set and the match with 6-4! Congratulations Preston!
